Artistic Gymnastics Worlds 2023: Watch the action from Antwerp
Simone Biles returns to the scene of her first World Championship success
The 52nd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships take place in Antwerp from 30 September - 8 October 2023
Seven-time Olympic gymnastics medallist Simone Biles will return to the scene of her first World Championship triumph when she competes in Antwerp later this year. Biles won four golds on her World Championship debut in Antwerp in 2013 and will be looking to add to her medal collection when she returns to the Belgian city. The 2023 World Championships will be the first major international competition since the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and will be a key event in the build-up to the Paris 2024 Olympics. Other gymnasts to watch out for in Antwerp include reigning Olympic all-around champion Sunisa Lee and 2022 World all-around bronze medallist Rebeca Andrade. The World Championships will also feature the men's competition, with reigning Olympic all-around champion Daiki Hashimoto and 2022 World all-around bronze medallist Carlos Yulo among the favourites. The competition will be held at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, which has a capacity of over 18,000. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
