Veteran Spanish Defender to Leave Sevilla at End of Season

Navas, 38, has played with Sevilla for 21 years

UEFA's Technical Observer panel has named Sevilla's Jesús Navas as the 2022-23 UEFA Europa League Player of the Season. The 38-year-old right-back will leave Sevilla at the end of the season after two spells at the club. Navas was born on November 21, 1985, in Los Palacios y Villafranca, Spain. He began his career with Sevilla in 2001 and made his first-team debut in 2003. He has since played over 500 matches for the club, winning the UEFA Europa League four times (2006, 2007, 2014, and 2016). Navas also played for Manchester City from 2013 to 2017, winning the Premier League title in 2014 and the FA Cup in 2014 and 2016.
