Mahendra Singh Dhoni (born 7 July 1981), fondly known as "Thala" by Chennai Super Kings fans, is an Indian professional cricketer who has made an indelible mark both in international cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL).

International Success

Dhoni led Team India to three ICC titles: the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007, the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. As a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman, he is considered one of the greatest cricketers of all time.

IPL Dominance

After retiring from international cricket in 2020, Dhoni continued to shine in the IPL, leading the Chennai Super Kings to four IPL championships (2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021) and three runner-up finishes. His calmness under pressure and strategic leadership have made him an IPL legend.

Personal Life

Born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi, Bihar (now Jharkhand), Dhoni is married to Sakshi Singh Rawat, and they have a daughter named Ziva. He holds a Lieutenant Colonel honorary rank in the Indian Territorial Army.
