Leafs Introduce Brad Treliving as New General Manager

Toronto, ON - June 22, 2023

The Toronto Maple Leafs held a press conference on Thursday morning to officially introduce Brad Treliving as their new General Manager. Treliving, who spent the past 17 years with the Calgary Flames, was hired by the Maple Leafs on June 19th.

In his opening remarks, Treliving said that he was "honored and humbled" to be joining the Maple Leafs and that he is "excited to get to work." He also said that he believes the Maple Leafs have a "bright future" and that he is "confident that we can achieve our goals together."

Treliving was asked about his plans for the Maple Leafs, and he said that he wants to "build a winning team that our fans can be proud of." He also said that he wants to "create a culture of success" and that he is "committed to winning the Stanley Cup."

Treliving was also asked about his relationship with Maple Leafs President Brendan Shanahan, and he said that he has a "great relationship" with Shanahan and that they "share the same vision for the Maple Leafs."

The press conference lasted for about 30 minutes, and it was attended by a large group of reporters. Treliving answered questions from the reporters for about 20 minutes, and he seemed to be very comfortable in his new role.
