Celtics Cruise to Game 4 Win Over Heat, Lose Kristaps Porzingis to Calf Injury

Boston Moves to 3-1 in Series, Advances to Second Round

Porzingis Exits in Second Quarter, Status Uncertain for Game 5

The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 102-82 in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series on Sunday night, taking a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven matchup. However, the win came at a cost, as star forward Kristaps Porzingis suffered a calf injury and left the game in the second quarter.

Porzingis, who had 14 points and 7 rebounds before exiting, was attempting to defend a Jimmy Butler drive when he appeared to tweak his left calf. He immediately grabbed at the area and limped off the court, not putting any weight on the leg.

The Celtics announced that Porzingis would undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury. Coach Brad Stevens said after the game that he did not have any immediate updates on Porzingis' status for Game 5, which is scheduled for Tuesday night in Miami.

Despite the injury, the Celtics were able to cruise to a comfortable victory. Jayson Tatum led the way with 25 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 24 and Marcus Smart with 20.

The Heat were led by Butler's 24 points, but they shot just 38.2% from the field and were outrebounded by the Celtics 53-35.

With the win, the Celtics move on to the second round of the playoffs, where they will face the winner of the series between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets.
